&lt;p&gt;If i understood you correctly, the iOS will automatically connect to your device after bonding. You then have trouble connecting with your custom app. Can you confirm that this is correct?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;When the iOS has connected to your device, it is no longer advertising. If your app is scanning for the device, it will not find it. It should exist a way for your app to search through already connected devices as well as advertising devices. I am no iOS programmer, but i know this feature exist in the Android SDK. It should be possible on IOS as well.&lt;/p&gt;
