 The nrf52 doesn&amp;#39;t mention Gazelle, but does mention &amp;#39;proprietary protocols&amp;#39;, so I&amp;#39;m assuming this is the same. The radio logic in the nRF52 is actually very similar to the radio logic in the nRF51. The most noticeable changes are the improved link budget and selectivity and we also lowered the radio&amp;#39;s operating voltage to reduce the power consumption. So from a software developers perspective the two radios look and feel very similar.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;No, I&amp;#39;m afraid it &lt;a href="http://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.nordic.infocenter.nrf52.v1.0.0%2Fchips%2Fnrf52832.html&amp;amp;resultof=%22gazelle%22%20%22gazel%22%20"&gt;only supports 1 and 2 Mbps mode&lt;/a&gt; so the nRF52 is not completely backwards compatible with the nRF51 or other legacy devices.&lt;/li&gt;
