I'm developing a own mesh provisioner with the remote provisioning client model. Is there an option to identify the node I want after scanning the nodes and getting their uuids but before remote provisioning? Could I get the callback from attention

RE: Identify node on mesh network

Hi again,

first of all, thank you for your prompt response. That's what I thought, if the node is not in the network you can't communicate with it. Is there a function to set the attention time or what is the best way?

The provisionee is not part of the network yet, and therefore cannot use any mesh models (such as e.g. health server.)

The way to identify the node before provisioning, is that the provisioner sets the attention timer on the device. This is what happens when you select "identify" in the nRF Mesh app, after having selected which device to connect to. The node will then flash lights, or make sounds, or otherwise identify itself, so that you can choose whether to continue the provisioning process, and/or provide some details on the provisioner for which node this is.

Regards,
Terje
