No, the SoftDevice needs exclusive access to the radio and you are not allowed to write to the RADIO directly when using the SoftDevice, and doing so will be detected by the MWU. See Hardware peripherals.

Could it be possible to do it by changing those registers ?

NRF_RADIO->FREQUENCY

NRF_RADIO->DATAWHITEIV

I'm using softdevice, will it interfer if I directly change the registers value ?

You are free to advertise on all or just one or two of the advertising channels (by setting the channel mask like you showd in your initial post). But you cannot use other channels or change the whitening (thiere is no API for th elatter, this is entierly handled by the stack).

I need to advertise a beacon packet to be read by a device and this is the device specification:

ADVERTISEMENT CHANNEL
Advertising is enabled for 3 channels on non-connectable advertisements with the option to disable one or more
with the Device Config SBCC.
For all products, special re-mapping of the highest advertising channel to transmit on BLE channel 38
(2478MHz) rather than BLE channel 39 (2496MHz).
Whitening is performed as defined in the BLE Specification for channels 37 and 38. Channel 36 uses a whitening
index of 0x72.

That is also not possible using the Bluetooth stack, as that will generally not alow you to do things that will break compatibility with the Bluetooth specification (and it also "owns" the Radio peripheral when it is enabled).

(I am not sure why you want to do this, but if you want to control the radio in different ways for measurments, you should look at something like the radio test example.)

Thanks ! I guess that's an error in the product documentation I have "special re-mapping of the highest advertising channel to transmit on BLE channel 36 (2478MHz) rather than BLE channel 39 (2496MHz)." I've just checked the ble spec and 2478 MHz is channel 38.

Do you know about setting the whitening index of 0x72 on the channel 36 ?

Hi,

It is not possible to advertise on channel 36. That is not allowed by the Bluetooth stack, ad it is not allowed in the Bluetooth specification.
