I am using the BC805M Bluetooth module in my project and when I interfaced it with my pic microcontroller development board (PIC32MX470 CURIOSITY) using UART protocol, I found that just some AT-Commands were only supported by it, and for

RE: All AT-Commands Not Supported In Fanstel BC805M module

I see. From a firmware perspective any module is more or less the same (the nRF that it uses is the most important). I suggest you take a look at the resources from my previosu post for how to develop the bluetooth application on the nRF that communicates via UART (with your other MCU).

RE: All AT-Commands Not Supported In Fanstel BC805M module

Thank you for your reply,

I am using the PIC32MX470F512H microcontroller ( PIC32MX470 Curiosity development kit) from this microcontroller I want to handle the BLE module. In my project, the task is to auto-connect paired devices when they come in the Bluetooth module range, and then after exchanging tokens immediately disconnect the device for this purpose I selected this BC805M module and one more reason to purchase this module is it has a higher RX Sensitivity i.e. -97dBm, is there any way to do what I needed in this project, as it doesn't support auto-connect AT-Command it just can advertise itself but can't auto-connect to the paired devices and also one thing I can't change my controller.

RE: All AT-Commands Not Supported In Fanstel BC805M module

Hi,

Reading the initial question, I woudl consider removing the PIC and doing everythign on the nRF. Alternatively, if you need the PIC and BLE connectivity via Bluetooth, you can write a custom Bluetooth application on the nRF that communicates with the PIC via Bluetooht. I suggest you refer to nRF Connect SDK Fundamentals for the basics of nRF development (including UART communication), as well as Bluetooth Low Energy Fundamentals.

RE: All AT-Commands Not Supported In Fanstel BC805M module

OK, Ketil

Is there any alternative way to communicate with the module rather than AT-Command?
The nRF52805 that's used in this module is delived from Nordic without any firmware. The AT client on the module is made by Fanstel so I suggest you ask them about this.
