&lt;p&gt;No, that will not work with the SoftDevice (assuming youare making a Bluetooth product).&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We do not have any example of using an SDK card a slot 1, but this is perhaps a generic question. Generally, the secondary slot needs to be as large as the primary slot. As it needs to hold the application as well. You can see that it always is in the SDK examples, and in the nRF Connect SDK, these slots are automatically calulcatd by the &lt;a href="https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/scripts/partition_manager/partition_manager.html"&gt;partiton manager&lt;/a&gt;.
