I totally understand your confusion, the PCA numbers don't really have any logical connection to the chip names 😉

Mmhhhh... it looks like a bit of confusion was on my side.

When you suggested to use a PCA10056 first I wondered why. It looks like on our side we thought the PCA10056 was the same as the PCA10059, only the previous dongle version. But it's not. It's the full DK board for development.

We thought the PCA10040 was the dev board. You're right then, it the PCA10056 is the actual NRF52840-DK board, then I first have to develop on this board and then port it to the PCA10059 dongle... That would explain the final result is not the same and doesn't work since the internal SDK boards definitions are likely different...

I just ordered two NRF52840-DK boards and will continue once I have them in my hands. That will surely solve my problems then.

You wouldn't happen to have any PCA10056 boards to test on?

It is generally recommended to use this board when developing code for the PCA10059, since it based on the same chipset.

Do you know for sure if the application is running at all?

For instance do you have any blinking LED's or some log output to verify that the application runs OK on the PCA10059?

How do you flash the dongle?
Have you connected a proper debugger, or are you relying on the USB bootloader?
