In iOS, the API does not allow you to get the BLE address directly due to privacy reasons: stackoverflow.com/.../can-get-mac-address-of-peripheral-after-pairing-in-core-bluetooth-ios

In this case, you need to add manufacturer specific data or alter the device name to distinguish the devices.

Can i read this address using a custom code that will be developed on iOS. Currently i am only able to read the services and manufacturer data and device name. Can you guide us as to how to read the this address in our iOS code.

This is a part of the advertising packet format for BLE and the BLE address will always be transmitted when advertising. It's just that most phones/PCs filter this out when adding it to your "discovered devices" list.

Thanks. That's really helpful. Can you also let us know when i check on the Master Control Panel it displays the Device Name also with the Device ID from the FICR register. From where does it reads this Device ID. Is it transmitted in the advertising packet? Or is there an service or anything to implement it.

Hi,

All devices will have a random generated BLE address, even if they have the same advertising name. This address is derived from the FICR register, and is set during our production. You can read more about this here: devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../
