No, I don't have a PPK hardware, I was thinking that it was just the virtual platform in nRF Connect SDK.

But on flashing peripheral_lbs program and then opening power profiler and selecting the connected device, this is what I'm getting the response and am not able to see any profile.
I'm measuring current using ammeter and seeing profiles there as expecter.

How can configure power profiler as in the image you've shared earlier and analyze?

Hi Arun,

You can find the RX and TX currents by inspecting the advertising or connection event. The events should the same as the events shown in our online power profiler.

I added this command "CONFIG_BT_PERIPHERAL_PREF_MAX_INT" in prj.conf with intervals to set,
example- CONFIG_BT_PERIPHERAL_PREF_MAX_INT 40, CONFIG_BT_PERIPHERAL_PREF_MAX_INT 800 etc.

But on flashing the program after the changes I still seeing only 30ms connection interval on the power measurement.

As mentioned earlier, a GAP peripheral cannot set the connection interval.

How do you determine that it is not working?

Could you please provide more details about what you are trying to evaluate? TX and RX currents can be measured during connection events, as illustrated by the power profiles in our online power profiler. What is the purpose of testing with a 100% duty cycle?

Got it, but what I'm looking for is to set the connection interval to a set rate just like how I set advertising interval.

It's not that it doesn't work, but you should generally avoid modifying source files in the SDK tree. When you change this definition, it will change the advertising interval not just for your project, but also for any other project using the same symbol.

Hi Arun,

The BT_GAP_* symbols in gap.h define common default values for use by the application. This file should not be modified.

The connection interval is ultimately determined by the GAP central connecting to your device. However, you can request a specific connection interval or range from the central by adding the following symbols to your prj.conf file:

- CONFIG_BT_PERIPHERAL_PREF_MAX_INT

- CONFIG_BT_PERIPHERAL_PREF_MIN_INT

If you want to measure the connection events, you can connect to the peripheral from an Android or iOS app with our nRF Connect app.

one more doubt I was trying to configure the connection interval in periheral_lbs example in gap.h file.

but it is not setting the connection interval right.

how to set the connection interval to 1?

by setting below parameters, I was able to set advertisement to 1second,\

You can select one of the BLE peripheral samples, such as peripheral_lbs, and comment out the 'advertising start'. Additionally, add CONFIG_SERIAL=n to the prj.conf. The application should then remain in the idle thread (i.e., sleep).

I suggest you use the peripheral_lbs sample for this as well. You can change the advertising parameters as you wish.

Yes, you can use the nRF connect app on your phone to connect to your peripheral application.

1, sleep
I didn't find any example in the nRF connect in VS code, please help me configure sleep as mentioned in the product specification.

I've only find one example, "BLE multiple advertising sets example" that configures advertising. But the problem is, here it is configuring in such a way that connectable and unconnectable advertisings are coming together in a small interval between the intervals of advertisement that we've set.
I've tried disabling one case in main.c but it was not working. how to configure both connectable and unconnectable separate cases.

What is the issue? Do you get any errors?

As mentioned, all samples will enter sleep mode during idle periods. This means the CPU will go into sleep mode between advertising and connection events.

for example the throughput example says it can be switched between peer and tester. But where can I monitor and make the changes accodingly?

is it TeraTerm or any other tool, this was a little unclear from the documentations.

Hi Arun,

All samples are set up to enter sleep mode between tasks. However, the sleep current can be in the 0.5-1mA range since the UART driver is enabled by default. Have you tried disabling UART by adding 'CONFIG_SERIAL=n' to your prj.conf file?

I'm programming the DK, nRF4350 using the VS Code extension. But all the example programs are giving current measurement way higher than expected, it looks like the chip is not going to sleep.

For example while advertising, we expect the chip to go back to sleep at the time where it is not advertising right? Like that how to configure the device in sleep in general and in these modes?

Please help me configure this.

Hi Arun,

To test the BLE functionality of the chip, you need to build and program one of the Bluetooth samples from the SDK (nRF Bluetooth samples, Zephyr Bluetooth samples). The nRF Connect Bluetooth Low Energy app in nRF Connect for desktop does not support the nRF53 series.
