The snippet of log that you provided does not show any connection data apart from the a advertising data and scan_request/Scan_response packets.

You do not need to convert the log into text file, please save the sniffer log as pcapng file extension and attach it here. I can read that with my Wireshark installed on my PC.

I got the sniffer working! here is a screenshot of what's going on. I can see how to make this a txt tomorrow but hopefully for today this can suffice in moving forward! It looks like I am in discovery mode?

As far as what is going on now I have not changed much code, and I am reaching my read_func with an error of 1.

Yes Alessandra,

As mentioned in this page, nRF52840 DK is one of the supported boards for nRF Sniffer and it will be able to sniff the BLE packets between Nordic and other vendor communication.

I wanted to use it but it does not seem to be compatible with the 5340 DK which is all I have at the moment. If I get a 5280 can I use it to log between my two custom boards? My central being the 5340 and my peripheral being Renesas DA14531

It would be very helpful if you can attach air sniffer log so that we can see exactly why the connection timed out. Hard to say what is wrong just looking at the code.
