I would like to dynamically change the gain of the antenna during runtime by send commands through the terminal, which is processed in the app core. But how do I control

RE: nrf5340 setting gain dynamically on FEM controller from app core

Thank you Kenneth that explains it

RE: nrf5340 setting gain dynamically on FEM controller from app core

Hello,

The properties you are asking about is not dynamic for skyworks, it's fixed by design, and it's only set in devicetree to tell the radio what the fixed tx and rx gain is (actual value typically depending on the variant and/or hardware layout). You may find this thread useful (it discuss how the BLE softdevice stack will use the fixed gain + the radios configurable output tx power steps to set the closest desired output level):
Dynamic Tx power control issue with FEM-enabled boards

If you want to do what you are asking about you should check out our nRF21540, which will use both the configurable output power of the fem + radio to set the closest desired output level:
https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/device_guides/working_with_fem.html#using-nrf21540-gpio-spi-built-in-power-model
