Using 250kBit data rate with the nRF51 or nRF24L-series can achieve 100 to 150 meters of range in Line-of-sight (with a well-tuned design). However; Audio is very timing-critical and does not handle packet drops well, and with 250 kBit datarate, you will have to compromise on the link throughput.

RE: Advice requested on audio transmitter/receiver

If I handle the audio externally to the Nordic product, what products would you recommend to get a range of several hundred feet (maybe 100-200m)?
Unfortunately, we do not have any audio specific ICs that can cover the range that you require.
The nRF2460 (mono sound) can cover approx. 10 meters.
