Hi! Sorry for not responding to this. I found the cause for this, it was an error in naming the pins where the VDDH pin was accidentally connected to a power line that took too much time to drop in voltage. The PMIC has been working wonderfully after that error was corrected.

Hi Ville.

How are you powering your MCU?

The power reset cycle will pull down VOUT1/2 and LDO1/2 for ~100ms.
VSYS is disconnected from VBAT / VSYS but is not actively discharged.

Can you confirm that you see VOUT fall as expected after a long press reset?

LPRESETCONFIG is the default value of 0x00. I tested pulling the SHPHLD for over half a minute. It seems that circuits connected to the VSYS is keeping the microcontroller from turning off. Atleast the problems appear when there is a big load on the VSYS.

Hi there,

Have you configured LPRESETCONFIG register, what is it set to? How long are you pulling the SHPHLD to 0V?

Or so I thought... Seems to be a bit finicky about the conditions. It works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. Oscilloscope showed 0V on the pin right next to the chip so it should not be about that.

Hi again!

I figured it out! I had the SWDIO, SWDCLK and ground connected to the development kit that I was using to program the µC and those connections disabled the reset for some reason. The development kit was turned off but was connected with usb to a computer.
