I am using the SDK 2.7.0 and from what i can see it has not been fixed:

I am already in contact with a colleague of your in this ticket:
Multi-Image FOTA on nRF5340 Using External NAND Flash (App + Net Core)

What is see, it is a reboot every time i tried to update the netcore using the original loader.c file from the SDK 2.7.0.

I can see that this bug has been fixed (in our internal flowchart) and is not listed in the current known issues. Could you provide more information about what exactly you are experiencing during the DFU process? Are you keeping the mcuboot-secondary partition in external flash?

i am using nowadays the SDK 2.7.0 and it seems the bug NCSDK-21379 still exists even if it has been removed from the list of known anomalies.
- Can i have a feedback from Nordic about this ?
- Can you tell me if the simultaneous upgrade (app and net cores) is not affected by this bug ?

Hello,

I personally haven't tested this combination before, and what I heard from the developers is that this PR was merged but reverted due to some crash happening elsewhere. They will probably consider this in the next update (but not sure when). Internal team said it will work with what the PR pointed, so I guess there won't be any bug.

But if you come across any issue, please let me know or don't hesitate to create a new ticket.

Can you confim that there is no bug if the simultaneous upgrade (both appcore and netcore) is choosen ? Even using the external flash as media where to store the two new images ?

For BLE to work properly, the rpmsg version needs to be the same for both cores. Sometimes it goes well with different versions, but it's always recommended to upgrade the netcore too for proper communication between the cores.

Are you trying the OTA DFU or only the serial recovery here? I am still having some confusion regarding the workaround mentioned here (that's why it's taking time from my side). I am discussing this with my colleagues. I will get back to you with a more concrete answer.
