More than half a year has passed since then.
I want to perform direction finding with NCS's SoftDeviceController.
When is Direction Finding connectless CTE RX supported on NCS with SoftDevice Controller?

RE: When is Direction Finding connectless CTE RX supported on NCS with SoftDevice Controller?

OK.Thanks.

RE: When is Direction Finding connectless CTE RX supported on NCS with SoftDevice Controller?

There is no QDID for that so if you want to do this then you have to run a full certification on your own.

RE: When is Direction Finding connectless CTE RX supported on NCS with SoftDevice Controller?

I want to use DirectionFinding RX with nRF5340+NCS2.5.1.
What QDID should I use?

RE: When is Direction Finding connectless CTE RX supported on NCS with SoftDevice Controller?

You can always check QDIDs on the Bluetooth SIG website but for the nRF Connect SDK 2.5.1 all the relevant QDIDs are on Infocenter.

The QDID for the Direction Finding capable Zephyr controller (only valid for nRF Connect SDK 2.1.0) can be seen at launchstudio.bluetooth.com/.../161760

RE: When is Direction Finding connectless CTE RX supported on NCS with SoftDevice Controller?

>There is a QDID for the Zephyr controller in the nRF Connect SDK 2.1
Oh, Really?

I can not found here

Is there a way to check QDID in other versions (e.g. ncs2.5.1)?

RE: When is Direction Finding connectless CTE RX supported on NCS with SoftDevice Controller?

1. There is a QDID for the Zephyr controller in the nRF Connect SDK 2.1, this includes all the Direction Finding features.

2. If you run a DF RX unit you will most likely not have time to do anything else so the Timeslot API will have limited value.

3. The DF RX will be more or less a single function devices so I do not believe this will be any issue.

DF RX is the only item where we recommend the Zephyr controller and the version of the nRF Connect SDK to use then is the 2.1 tag.

RE: When is Direction Finding connectless CTE RX supported on NCS with SoftDevice Controller?

thank you.

There are three reasons why I want to use SoftDeviceController.
1. There is no QDID for ZephyrBluetoothStack.
2. I want to use Timeslot API.
3. SoftDeviceController has better performance than ZephyrBluetoothStack.

RE: When is Direction Finding connectless CTE RX supported on NCS with SoftDevice Controller?

There is still no short term plan to support Direction Finding RX with the SoftDevice Controller (SDC). This will still be supported with the Zephyr controller in nRF Connect SDK version 2.1.0.

The SoftDevice Controller does support TX mode for AoA so can be used for the tag side.

Any specific reason you do not want to use the Zephyr controller for the RX side?
