&lt;p&gt;This documentation is written by Zephyr, and describes how to get up and running with Zephyr directly (without the Nordic part of the NCS). If you want to install the nRF Connect SDK (NCS), I suggest you go down the path of the toolchain manager instead. Try downloading &lt;a href="https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-tools/nrf-connect-for-desktop"&gt;nrF Connect for Desktop&lt;/a&gt; -&amp;gt; Toolchain manager, and it will set up everything for&amp;nbsp; you.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
