Sorry for the delay caused here; I was away due to sickness.

I need to create an internal ticket on this issue to get a better view of modem traces. Could you share the SDK and Modem FW versions?

Using J-link, it is not possible to use DK for debugging

I will take a look soon. Could you give some more details about your setup, like how you are configuring the hardware for collecting the modem traces? Is it via UART or via RTT? If it's via UART, were you able to measure UART lines? Are they looking fine? And are you using a J-link or a DK for debugging?

When I run modem trace with VGPIO=1.8V the modem isn't transmitting the data

I will do it, but the modem is not shutting down, it just not connecting to MQTT broker nor cloud.

Did you looked at the modem trace? is there something there?

The module is connected directly to battery, this is not the issue. When I say 3.3v or 1.8v I mean to VGPIO

Could you explain the issue a bit more clearly? Do you mean that while disconnecting the charger, nRF9160 runs on 1.8v? If so, you need to provide 3.3v for the proper working.

You can subscribe to AT%MDMEV=1 which will give you the reason for why the modem has shut down.
