Do you have access to a logic analyzer or a scope? It would be helpful to see if there is any communication on your pins. It should work out of the box.

Did you do any changes to the sample other then to select build target?

Hi,

I have created the correct tool chain only v2.5.2 and I did try with another PC for v1.6. So, there is no sdk conflicts. So, can you please, help me with it why it is not working in v2.5.2.

Did you create the project in v2.5.2 with the correct toolchain? There has been a lot of updates to the SDK since V1.6 which would break the sample you tried to run something made in v1.6 in v2.5.2.

I have tried with BME280 Sample only with nrf Connect SDK and VS code and with V1.6 it is working same code is not working for V2.5.2.

Also, do you use the same project for both NCS v1.6 and V2.5.2?

Yes, same project only I am used for both NCS v1.6 and V2.5.2 but it is working in v1.6 but in v2.5.2 i am facing errors as above I have mentioned.

Hi,

Without making the change by placing twi only it works in v1.6 by adding below mentioned llines of configuration

&i2c0 {
    status = "okay";
     bme280@76 {
		compatible = "bosch,bme280";
		reg = <0x76>;
		label = "BME280";
	};
};

But in v2.5.2 sdk it is not working.

And I have tried with register address 0X77 but same error is showing in serial terminal (Putty).

Just to make sure that I understand correctly

After the change it works for NCS v1.6, but it does not work for NCS 2.5.2?

Are you using one of the samples for the sensor or is this code you have developed?
Could you also try to change address id to 0x77?

Hi,

I have changed from twi to twim compatible = "nordic,nrf-twim"; at that time I am facing errors and with version v1.6.0 in nrf connect SDK and with vs code it is working but in v2.5.2 it is not working and same issue iam getting in serial terminal.

Could you try to change your overlay to

&i2c0 {

		compatible = "bosch,bme280";
		status = "okay";

	};
};

You could check what suggested here i2c_nrfx_twi: Error 0x0BAE0001 occurred for message 0
