This situation is since long time, and I am sure if they were serious about it would have changed so far.

This is like if you are a developer, you cannot make a product at first step, rather if you import devices from abroad, you can sell them for sure.!! Not a developer friendly atmosphere.

I donot understand the attitude of Indian Service providers. They donot even let test us test their network by providing the test sims. I know they want to push their own manufactured devices for higer margins, but they need to understand that until user become familiar with their network, how he/she would place a high quantity order.

Does anyone able to get the hands on the NB iot sim for testing purpose.

This is difficult in India. They need company details and GST numbers, etc. This means if you are a maker or developer you can not get a SIM card. Even if you work for a company and your company refuses to provide help you can not get it.

Such policies do not help anyone. Not you as a developer and companies like Nordic Semiconductor.

Talked with their IoT customer care but she doesn't seems to have any idea about what I am talking about.
yes, if you ask to normal customer call number, they will not have any idea about IOT, as you said you filled the form you will get a call form technical person soon.so you can ask about your queries. As of knowledge in India there is no LTE-M connection provided only NB-IOT provided.

Thank you for your reply, yes I have registered for callback on website, day before yesterday, both for Jio as well as Airtel, but seems like both of them are offering end products, not only SIM card (I mean connectivity solution integrated LTE/NBIOT module from their end), not yet sure though, will see once have callback from them. Hi,

In India, Jio and Airtel are providing NB-IoT services. You should visit their website Smart Connected Coolers - IoT Connectivity Technology | JioThings and fill out the form to request a callback for NB-IoT services. The service provider will contact you within 2 or 3 days. However, they have certain conditions; for example, you should be employed by a company and need to purchase at least 10 SIM cards. I believe Airtel may offer a minimum of 5 SIM cards. Alternatively, Nordic Semiconductor's service representatives may inquire about your project details and assist you in acquiring the operator's SIM card.
