Thank you for your reply. I successfully resolved the issue by unistalling both VS Code and the nRF Toolchain. Everything is working now.

Hi Cristian,

Which environment variables did you change? Like you wrote, the change could be the reason that the extension is not able to launch properly. If you know what you changed it will be much easier to find out what is going wrong with the extension launch.

In addition to the specific environment variables you changed, the support information for the extension can also help. You can generate it by clicking the headset icon in the WELCOME tab of the extension.

You can also share the generated information with us, but note that it could contain sensitive information about your environment. Remove any confidential or sensitive information before sharing the support information in a public ticket.
