I tried to set the active timer to 6 seconds instead of the default 16 seconds. However after inspecting in Wireshark I see that it&amp;#39;s never granted. &lt;p&gt;As you can see PSM parameters are something you can set but they are finnaly decided by the network side.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://academy.nordicsemi.com/courses/cellular-iot-fundamentals/lessons/lesson-2-cellular-fundamentals/topic/lesson-2-exercise-1/"&gt;Exercise 1 – Nordic Developer Academy (nordicsemi.com)&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;demostrate the following commands about related PSM setup:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;AT+CPSMS can be used to set target parameters.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;AT%XMONITOR can &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;be used to check the PSM parameters enabled by network.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You can check with your network opeartor about their accpetable PSM and eDRX configuration.&lt;/p&gt;
