&lt;p&gt;If I understand you correctly these settings should mostly be static, not changing during runtime?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If so I think you should configure them after the call to &lt;em&gt;nrf_gzll_init()&lt;/em&gt;, before you call &lt;em&gt;nrf_gzll_enable()&lt;/em&gt;. Essentially the same place that&amp;nbsp;&lt;em&gt;nrf_gzll_set_max_tx_attempts(MAX_TX_ATTEMPTS);&lt;/em&gt; is called in the standard example, &lt;a href="https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-nrf/blob/main/samples/gazell/gzll_ack_payload_device/src/main.c#L91"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As a side note I would strongly recommend getting a nRF52840DK setup as well, in addition to your custom board, unless your project is very simple. If you ever run into a situation where you need help debugging a tricky software issue then it is much easier for us to help you if we can reproduce the issue on our side using a DK. It is also a great help when debugging potential hardware issues, as you can use the DK for comparison.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
