I will ask and see if they have any updates. From what I can see they got the board last week and might not had time to look into it yet. I will update when i hear back from them

No worries, I wrote it so I'm confused myself. I did see the same behavior when i attached gdb to target and try to read out the backtrace directly from gbd without using the core dump. So from the looks of it, it is not directly connected to the core dump itself.

Thanks, I get the same myself. It must have been something introduced with NCS 2.6 as it worked as a charm when I wrote using NCS 2.5.2

I will look into it but I can't guarantee that it will get fixed this week as it is easter vacation this week.

I run exactly the code from the inter_less2_exer2_solution sample.

Are you running an exact copy of the lesson or have you added something to it? I have not run the sample on the NCS 2.6 but I don't expect it to differ that much in terms of compiler optimization. However your section image looks different to what I recall. I will fire up the sample myself and test.

I tested with these flags, the result is the same:

CONFIG_DEBUG=y
CONFIG_NO_OPTIMIZATIONS=y
CONFIG_DEBUG_OPTIMIZATIONS=y

If you build it with optimize for debug do you get the same behavior? From the looks of it, your compiler found your variables redundant in some way and optimized them away.
