We are working on the portable handheld Device. We are using nPM1100 for the Li-Ion Battery Charging and Buck Regulator for the MCU. We having some queries on that, so please help me out of it...

1. VBAT has internal Battery Reverse

RE: nPM1100 VBAT Properties

Hi Nisanth, sorry for the delay.
2. Giving 5V to VBUS and VBAT will be disconnected from the battery and VBAT pin is connected to input of 3.3V LDO.
Sorry, this is not clear to me. Do you intend to disconnect the battery when connectec to VBUS? Would you be able to provide a more detailed description or some schematics?
Is the nPM1100 finds there is no battery and will stop giving power to the VBAT or it will be giving the Power to VBAT pin so 3.3V LDO will getting the Power?
As according to 7.2 Supplying from Buck in the Product Specification:

An application should not be supplied directly from VBAT because it can disturb the battery charging
process and may cause incorrect behavior from the charger. Instead, VOUTB and/or VSYS should be used
to supply an application.
1. VBAT has internal Battery Reverse Polarity protection?
This is not supported. VBAT min. is -0.3V.

I will get back to you on the second question.

Best regards,
Håkon
