Hi Dhaval,

I recently was starting a project which also needs to run a TCP server on nRF-9160, however I met a problem that seems like my NB-IoT SIM card doesn't have a static IP.

Did you use any software/firmware method or other service to cover this problem?

Or this could only be solve by asking Telecommunications Service Provider to provide a static IP?

Thanks for the information, I got TCP server working. and my Quastion is solve with this success,

FYI, there was problem with IP, I used static IP and TCP server work, so i am sure that modbus server will worked.

Now this ticket can be close.

Hi Dvl,

SLM does not have HTTP server implementation.

HTTP server which normally running on a PC which is too "heavy" for a IoT device like nRF9160 which have very limited resource and computing power.

Hi Charlie,

I have used this Serial LTE modem — nRF Connect SDK 2.6.0 documentation (nordicsemi.com) example and i have also tried by creating simple HTTP server but its not working. can you please conform that server on nRF9160 can work with dynamic public IP?

Hi Dvl,

You can refer to the Serial LTE modem — nRF Connect SDK 2.6.0 documentation (nordicsemi.com).

It supports using TCP/IP sockets with AT commands.

You need a converter that can convert Modbus(or module like RS485) to TTL.
