We are using Nrf51822 , pca1001 evaluation board.
when i flash bel_app_proximity code (by disabling led function in advertisement_star()),
current consumed by board during advertisement is 1.23 mA.
Is it seems to too high , can you tell

RE: power consumed by ble advdertisement

Hi Hakon,

when i change to APP_ADV_INTERVAL_FAST =0x010 means for 10 ms.

i am not getting advertisment.

but for 25 ms advertisement interval , i am getting advertisement.

kindly tell me what will be the minimum advertisement interval.

If you calculate that with a 25 ms interval, you can see if that matches your measured current.
With 25 ms it should be around the area of 1 mA avg, depending on the length of your advertising packet.

Usually, your debugger interface is active if you see 1.2 mA. turn the board off and then on again to return to normal run mode.

When i erase complete nordic flash by using nrfgo . And i measure current it is about 2.58 mA.

i did with power reset also ,current is same.

Why current is too much.

Our advertising interval=25 ms

Can you say what is debugger interface and power -cycle.

My first though is:
That current measurement indicates that the debugger interface is still active. Try doing a power-cycle and then measure.

However, the current consumption will vary depending on your advertising interval. What is your advertising interval?
