ok after a recover a standalone Bt tool reinstall it looks to works correctly thanks a lot for your help !

What OS are you using here? Can you install nRF Command Line tools just to check that for instance "nrfjprog --recover" works?

Can you try to push "Ctrl + R" when you experience white screen to check if it reloads?

I'm using a nRF52840-DK

sticker on board says :

when I try to open ble tool from nrf connect desktop it opens bluetooth low enegy v 4.0.4 patch1 and its closes immediatly to open standalone v4.0.4

in order to avoid error when opening

I have c;lose all nrf app and tryc to start directly standalone ble tool I have same issue

I have also try to uninstall standalone revision to stick to desktop suite only and it continue to close immediatly first window and opens standalone rev but window stays empty now

nrf connect is rev 4.4.1

in order to avoid any miss instalation I've wipe out nrfConnectDesktop and ble standalone tool
reboot and reinstall freshly downloaded 4.4.1 nRfConnectDesktop but it same result first window close immediatly and standalone ble tool is oppen even if it's not installed =| !!

Hello,

I notice you are mentioning two different things here: nRF Sniffer for BLE vs. nRF connect for Desktop BLE standalone app.

They are not the same, so I am not entirely sure what you are trying to achieve here. But in any case, if you want to use the one of the other, make sure that you have closed down other software that may be using the com ports on your PC. You can try for instance do a restart and just open the nRF Connect for Desktop app for BLE if that is the one you want to use.

You can also try to install the command line tools if you haven't already:
https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-tools/nRF-Command-Line-Tools/Download

If you still have problems please specify exactly which hardware (e.g. nRF52840-DK v3.0.0 or similar) and software (e.g. nRF Connect for Desktop v4.4.1 or similar, nRF Command line tools v10.24.1 or similar).
