I recommend you go over <a href="https://www.bluetooth.com/bluetooth-resources/bluetooth-mesh-models/">the Mesh Models Technical Overview</a> first, and then&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bluetooth.com/specifications/specs/mesh-model-1-0-1/">the Mesh Model v1.0.1 specification</a>.&nbsp;</p> <p>You&nbsp;will find details on how a duplex communication between them is possible.&nbsp;As long as&nbsp;<span style="font-family:inherit;">the phone remains connected to the Mesh network via a Proxy Node, it should be able to receive status change publication&nbsp;from the server on the lights using subscription, without polling.</span></p> <p>Hieu</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
