 BLE DFU could be started at any time and modem could be active during all DFU process and during reset by FOTA.

&lt;p&gt;Yes, we found that it is possible to use MCUmgr Callbacks with mcumgr events subscribed.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Works fine.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Yes, it is possible to subscribe to mcumgr events to know when DFU has started, please see &lt;a href="https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/2.6.1/zephyr/services/device_mgmt/mcumgr_callbacks.html"&gt;MCUmgr Callbacks&lt;/a&gt;. I&amp;#39;m not familiar with the modem your using, but I assume you may want to terminate any existing connections when receiving the DFU started event.&lt;/p&gt;
