Could you create a dedicated thread with your mac related issue?

For linux, it is a permission error, which requires a udev rule. It will be different for you, but I'm no macos expert, unfortunately.

Be sure to share logs in your new thread.

Could you perform this operation?

WARN Required component nrf-udev is not detected. Install it from github.com/.../nrf-udev and restart the application

And reboot afterwards to see if the device is then detected properly in the application?
