&lt;p&gt;I would recommend that you check your physical connection from the nRF to the sensor, check that the sensor has power etc.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If the SDA/SCL lines are transmitting data, and the sensor does not answer; it points towards a electrical issue in the setup.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;When you&amp;#39;re using asynchronous (ie. a twi_handler has been defined) mode in the driver, you should wait for the previous transaction to complete.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you add &amp;quot;DEBUG&amp;quot; to the preprocessor define symbols, you should be able to get more detailed information on where the issue occurred.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Could you add this, recompile and run again?&lt;/p&gt;
