I have been developing an application for some time and everything has been running smoothly, until recently testing it and finding out some inaccuracies.
In the application, among others, I use a high priority (IRQ = 3) 16MHz timer to

RE: Timer does not count time accurately

Hi,

If you have done so already, please try to enable the crystal oscillator (HFXO) and see if that helps. Otherwise, the TIMER will run off the internal RC oscillator (HFINT) which has a worst case tolerance of -+ 8 %.
