Håkon Alseth Also i was checking and if i only use the passive mode the nrf7000 will consume a maxium of 60mA right? So using the npm1300 bucks would be a possibility. because if the device is active in the transmissio it consumes up to 260mA, which would make the bucks in the npm1300 unsuitable for that....

Hey Håkon Alseth, sorry for reflotting this theme, but then if i use the nrf7000 ONLY as a passive scanner i guess i can avoid to get the radiated emissions test, no? i will only need to get the unintentional emissions test is that right?

Hi,

Please note that in the combination of nRF7000 + nRF9160, you want to have the nRF7000 in passive scanning mode.

If you enable active scanning, where the nRF7000 will active probe (ie. transmit); then you need to qualify for teleregulatory qualifications.

You can set passive scanning in wifi_mgmt subsys by setting "CONFIG_WIFI_MGMT_FORCED_PASSIVE_SCAN=y", or if you use the wifi/scan example for evaluation, there are specific kconfig's here:
