&lt;p&gt;Yes, you can use VScode to debug your application. See this &lt;a href="https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/nrf-connect-vscode/page/guides/debug_concepts.html"&gt;old devzone thread&lt;/a&gt;. There is a&lt;a href="https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/nrf-connect-vscode/page/guides/debug_concepts.html"&gt; debugging application&lt;/a&gt; section and a&lt;a href="https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/editor/debugging"&gt; debugging section &lt;/a&gt;inside the VSCode documentation.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I am also attaching a video tutorial from Nordic, which can provide you with a good starting point.&lt;/p&gt;
