Typically, it is either the hardware connection issue (like the physical cable in this case) or the software (including driver or the configuration) issue. Nonetheless, good to know that the problem is resolved.

That didn't work for me. I had to update my Mac to the latest OS release (14.5), load the latest JLINK drivers (7.96J), then open the JLinkConfig app and then update the JLINK firmware on my nRF52840DK, in case anyone else has the same issue. This resolved the issue for me

Tricky, I just change the physical USB-C port on my computer and it’s now working.
