&lt;p&gt;The standard way is to use the install button as shown below in the nRF Connect extension in VScode. If you used VPN I would just suggest that you try again as I have seen a retry on the download might fix it.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I have seen similar issues with fetching from Github from China. I would recommend trying to restart the process as it we have seen it times out for customers in China.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If it still fails then I would suggest looking into using a VPN to access github. I know we are looking into a different solution for customers in China but I have not heard anything regarding the timeline&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Just a heads up, the standard way is not to use VScode to download the toolchain/SDK version&lt;/p&gt;
