The problem disappears when using __WFE() at the same time as sending constant carrier. As you can see it is also affecting the overall shape of the signal.

&lt;p&gt;Please try testing with 100kHz bandwidth instead, as CPU and flash activity will generate some noise, so this could be expected noise from those.&lt;/p&gt;
