Hello,

I'm still not sure which application you are referring to. Not all applications can be flashed to the dongle directly; you might need to modify and include some dongle-specific configurations. Please refer to the programming tutorial I attached in my last response for further guidance.

Hello,

I don't have other Nordic device connected.

I'm using "nRF Connect for Desktop" v5.0.0 (on Windows 10). In fact, I do know that there is no debugger. This is not an issue since I only want to flash.

FYI, I have tried to run "nRF Connect for Desktop" with admin privilege but it doesn't help.

Hello,

Is there any other Nordic device (other than the dongle) connected to your PC? If not, then the device visible as "Open DFU bootloader" is the dongle. Which application are you trying to flash to the dongle? Please note that the dongle does not come with a debugger. Refer to the dongle programming guide; although it is based on our old SDK, some of the programming points are still relevant.

Oh, after clicking on the Select Device arrow, I have been able to select my device!

Is it expected that it shows "Open DFU Bootloader"?

I select the device and I load the file that I want to program but the device buttons are all greyed:

I don't have the same thing as you. Here is a screenshot. It is interesting to note that the device appears in the console but the programmer acts as if it was not there:

Hello,

Your programmer should show "nRF52 USB SDFU" under the select device tab if the dongle is in bootloader mode. See the screenshot below:

You can also check the device manager on your PC; it should be visible there too. See the screenshot below.

Yes I have followed the steps to put the dongle in Bootloader mode and LD2 is flashing red.

What does the programmer app indicate?

Are you able to select the device from the Quick Start app?

Additionally, is the dongle detected by the PC? Please check the Device Manager on your PC.

In which category shall I see it? For the moment I don't see it.

I assume you have correctly followed the steps to put the dongle in bootloader mode (I can see that the dongle is in bootloader mode). What does the programmer app indicate? Are you able to select the device from the Quick Start app? Additionally, is the dongle detected by the PC? Please check the Device Manager on your PC.
