Hello all,

I switched to SDK 2.5.2 and the project builds. Preliminary testing looks good. It appears to boot properly coming out of reset.

I will update again after further testing.

Hello Mathias,

The fix for this was merged in 2.5.2.

Another commit changed the statically allocated heap memory to 30K, which helps explain the overflow.

config COMMON_LIBC_MALLOC_ARENA_SIZE
# 30K is mandatory, but might need more for long duration use cases
default 30000

I've asked Jeff to investigate disabling "config WPA_SUPP_ADVANCED_FEATURES" to see if this helps w/ overflow.

Do you see the same behaviour if using e.g. the Wi-Fi: Scan sample with 2.5.3?

Switching to 2.5.3 results in a linker error from a RAM overflow of nearly 10K bytes.
