Could you guy let me know if the same happen with the new v4.2.0 as well.? With the updates/changes being made in this version, we wanted to see if there is a difference.

I noticed that the LED glow up and down was stuttering . It wasn't smooth. But it's smooth now (on the bad port)

The USB 3.2Gen1 is 625MB/s versus USB2 60MB/s

I'm on win10 so it;s not only win11.

The port that works is a USB3.2 Gen1 directly on my motherboard IO panel

The ones that don't are USB2.0. Connected to the front panel of the PC. Or via a 50cm extension cable (not a hub)

I am not sure why this is happening.. We are also testing on Windows 11 PC and it seems to be working well. Did you see any log message in the console about data loss.?

the bluetooth audio dongle makes no difference.

Its just a different port. Both usb portas are wired directly to the motherboard.

I changed ports 2x but its the same .I also unplugged my jlink etc

I then unplugged my Bluetooth audio dongle and swapped my mouse with the PPK2 and now it's 30fps

It's basically the same

with 4.0.0

After 2 minutes the elapsed time was 42s on the UI

After 5 minutes the elapsed time was 1:43s on the UI

But the chart refreshed at 31fps.

On the latest version I see almost the same behaviour, but with only 3fps

After 2 minutes the elapsed time was 38s on the UI

After 5 minutes the elapsed time was 1:41s on the UI

For me running 5 minutes with 1000 sps and using my phone stopwatch to time stuff:

5 minutes realtime gives 2:28.1 minutes ppk time

28-32fps, always
5 minutes realtime gives 2:28.2 minutes ppk time

Interesting issue.

Changing usb ports (annoying on stationary computer), but worth a try.

So my issue is with a specific usb port. But I regularly use this port for data transfer as well so I believe it 'works'.

Hi Jason and Mathew,

Could you please try the following and let me know.?
Try recording for 5 minutes using version 4.0.0 and version 4.1.2
Do must make sure that you rely on some external clock to count the 5 minutes and not on the timestamp on the ppk app.

Ideally, we expect to see that after 5 min the version 4.0.0 will have less time recorded and version 4.1.2 will have the correct time.

Is the issue consistent.? i.e., are there moments of high FPS followed by moments with low FPS and then repeating.?

Almost no GPU usage

or CPU usage

RAM and IO etc look normal.

I ran a VS2022 performance diagnositc and I've attached the file. Maybe a developer can load it. There's no symbols unfortunately.

The fact that it shows less than 1% CPU or GPU suggests its waiting for something, or it's in a system call. That's my guess at least

I have a very fast CPU and 64GB ram and I get 3fps. The last time I used the PPK was a few months ago and it was 30+ fps.
