No that shouldn't take that much space. You can see on the left hand side there on the project folder that the code should just take 22.6 kB. I think the issue here is just that SES is being a bit confused, since the bootloader(or something like MBR) is placed so high up in the flash.

The flash memory isn't at 99.6%. You can continue working on the application.

Hi thanks for reply what about 2 point i have posted
2. i am using nrf52840 dfu/ secure bootloader/ pca10056_s140ble example after flashing the code the flash memory is almost full ie 99.6% is it taking that much of memory or can we reduce it to some 200 to 300kb size

Ah so while doing a FOTA over BLE, you are wondering if you can get some bytes over uart at the same time, that you then forward to another device? So this transfer is not associated with the FOTA at all?

As i mentioned above can we take the bytes which is receiving while dfu ota and take those byes to uart instead of writing into the flash and also for button less dfu we need to update via ota is that buttonless dfu example can we refer

There should be a sample for this in <InstallFolder>\examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_buttonless_dfu.

Do you not want to use NCS?

Hi i need to transfer data while ongoing dfu ota ie while dfu ota is happening instead of writing it into flash i need to transfer that dfu ota file to other nrf52840 via uart

I am not sure if I understand. So you have two SoCs, and you want to transfer the image from one to the other using uart?

And I got to say that if this is a new application you are working on, I would recommend starting with NCS instead of nRF5 SDK (for more info see here).
