Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that the issue is still unresolved. Could you please run "Generate support information" (view --> Command Palette) and share the entire output here?

What happens if you try installing the SDK using the nrfutil toolchain manager or the toolchain manager found in our nRF Connect for Desktop (apologies if you have already tried this method)?

Does this issue occur with a fresh install or after an update?

I found that clearing Kconfig.Python worked for me.
Before, it had a perfectly valid python3 path, but didn't work, so I cleared Kconfig.Python and it did work (I guess it picked up a default path?)

No, the issue hasnt been resolved yet. I dont have time to deal with that ATM. I agreed with R2 what he described the issue. Now I am using nrf extension without kconfig. And also, I tired his suggestion that setting pytrhon3 path but it didnt work for me.

I'm having the same problem, but setting the Python 3 path in Kconfig.Python doesn't solve it for me (I'm using a Python virtual environment, not sure if that matters).

I have the same issue where the the nrf connect extension doesn't load. I followed Zsn's solution, removed the nRF Connect for VS Code Extension Pack, and the nrf connection extension worked correctly, even after restarting VS Code.

It appears that the extension fails when the nRF Kconfig extension is installed, enabled, AND Kconfig.Python is not set correctly.
nRF Kconfig is included in the nRF Connect for VS Code Extension Pack.

Removing/disabling nRF Kconfig, or correctly setting Kconfig.Python allows the nRF extension to run, as nature intended.

(macOS Sonoma 14.5, VS Code Version: 1.90.2 (Universal), nRF Config v2024.6.20)

Are you trying to do a fresh install of the nRF Connect VS Code extension, or did this happen after an update and you tried reinstalling? Which OS are you working with?

Can you follow the steps mentioned in this thread? The thread discusses something very similar. Let me know if the solution discussed helped resolve your issue.
