Creating and destroying the advertising set each time was the workaround for another, historical Softdevice fault ( softdevice: Hard Fault / Advertising flash contents on extended advertising) and I never changed the pattern back. I suspect that is no longer needed so I will try your suggestion.

Is there a DRGN number for this bug?

RE: Softdevice Controller: TX with 100% duty cycle scanning

Hi,

Looks like there is an issue here. The reason that you are not able to see any ADV packets is because you create a new ADV set each time and set the event count to 1.

As a workaround, you can modify the sample code to create the ADV set once and reuse it. With this, we are able to see the ADV packets with only the very first event being lost.

Thanks for letting us know! But for your specific use-case, do you really need to create a new ADV set each time, or does the workaround work for you?

Regards,

I originally saw the issue on v2.6.1 and reproduced as you saw on v2.7.0-rc3.

RE: Softdevice Controller: TX with 100% duty cycle scanning

Hi Jordan,

Thanks for the heads-up. I would typically ask you to see if you are seeing this issue on a tagged version of NCS as well, as the untagged versions of NCS can be unstable, but I think rc3 should be okay.

I'll have to look into this later this week though. If this case is more urgent to you than that, please let me know.
