OK, thanks for confirming. In that case, the max. number of pairing is only limited by the amount of flash you have available in the FDS (filesystem).

Are you using the nRF5 SDK or the nRF Connect SDK ( nRF Connect SDK and nRF5 SDK statement )?

Thanks for your answer, I did this project 2 years ago and therefore I use Segger Embedded Studio. What is the equivalent of the CONFIG_BT_MAX_PAIRED parameter in Segger?

I recommend you have a look our DevAcademy course at https://academy.nordicsemi.com/courses/bluetooth-low-energy-fundamentals/lessons/lesson-5-bluetooth-le-security-fundamentals/ for an introduction to how BLE security is implemented in the SDK. The max. number of bonds is configurable through the CONFIG_BT_MAX_PAIRED symbol.
