&lt;p&gt;I can point you to some BLE and softdevice tutorials, but please note that most of them are a bit old and in maintenance mode. There is a&lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/guides/short-range-guides/b/bluetooth-low-energy/posts/ble-characteristics-a-beginners-tutorial"&gt; BLE tutorial&lt;/a&gt; that explains each role of the device and how to configure them. While there isn&amp;#39;t a specific example showcasing your use case, the &lt;a href="https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ncs-latest/page/nrf/samples/bluetooth/throughput/README.html#user_interface"&gt;throughput sample&lt;/a&gt; in NCS demonstrates how to switch between the central and peripheral roles using a button press.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;If you are at the beginning of your project, I recommend using the nRF Connect SDK instead of the older nRF5 SDK, as the latter is now in maintenance mode. There are also several&lt;a href="https://academy.nordicsemi.com/courses/bluetooth-low-energy-fundamentals/"&gt; BLE tutorials&lt;/a&gt; based on the nRF Connect SDK. However, let me know if you prefer to stick with the old SDK.&lt;/p&gt;
