&lt;p&gt;overlay_lpn.conf is what known as a Kconfig fragment.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you are using the command line to build, use the EXTRA_CONF_FILE argument as explained here:&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ncs-2.7.0/page/nrf/config_and_build/configuring_app/cmake/index.html"&gt;Adding files and configuring CMake (nordicsemi.com)&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you are using the nRF Connect for VS Code extension, when adding or editing a build configuration, add the file in the &amp;quot;Extra Kconfig fragment&amp;quot; menu.&lt;/p&gt;
