I just started the app again and got the notification that 5.0.1 is now available. And that update seems to have solved it.

What version of nRF connect for desktop are you using?

Do you download the Apple silicon version of the nRF connect for desktop?

I'm using the asset tracker application on the thingy 91, version 2.6.1.
I do indeed have those configs enabled.

But it seems like the modem update is somehow (indirectly) the cause of this error since I could connect just fine to the thingy trace before updating the modem.

Hi,

Which application are you using? Do you enable CONFIG_NRF_MODEM_LIB_TRACE and CONFIG_AT_HOST_LIBRARY=y as in this course?

Please also make sure to use the latest version of the cellular monitor (v2.4.0) and nRF Connect for Desktop v5.0.0.

What exactly do you mean with reinstalling?

On mac you don't really install apps like you do on windows. I did remove the nRF connect app and redownloaded it "installed" it again. But that did not make a difference.
