Right, what comes before the first underscore is the name of the board, and afterwards is the name of the SoC. Seemed to be some confusion there. Like in the example I posted below:

The table from the DevAcademy course here might describe it better than I do.

It looks like that did the trick! I am looking at the files provide and it looks like I messed up by renaming some of the files that were for the processor and not the dk?

Thank you again for the prompt response!

So I believe I do have trustzone enabled, looking at defconfig for both boards, the only difference is the board name

As for the other typos you mentioned, may I ask which version of the SDK you are comparing the board file with, in the 2.5.3 I have those lines in nrf5340dk are the same.

I have attached my nrf5340dk board file just as a sanity check.

I see now that I was perhaps I was a bit too quick in my previous response. So your custom board is essentially a copy of the 53DK, but is the only difference here, so I guess we can rule out the SW from being the culprit.

I assume you missed something when creating the custom board. Good thing you sent it to me.

So comparing it to the 5340DK board files, it seems you missed a few files. I assume you've checked that those are okay to skip? And in rxcb_nrf5340_cpuapp.dts there seems to be a typo:

I see you are not enabling trustzone here but I guess that is fine.

Here in rxcb_nrf5340_cpunet.dts there is another typo:

Could you try fixing these typos?

Still no success, however I need to move onto other parts of my bringup. The problem seems pretty repeatable with the attached board, if you compile an example peripheral_lbs project with that custom board, you should see the issue. If anyone can point out what I am doing wrong, it would greatly be appreciated!

So it looks like I am seeing the failure at the same point in the code as this ticket.

Hello Elfving,

I can confirm that the peripheral_lbs project runs on both my custom board and the nrf5340dk when compiled using the nrf5340_nrf5340_cpuapp_ns board selected in the build configuration. However, with my custom board selected, the bt will not initialize. My custom board files should be a direct copy with just names changed, however I am going to give it another go from the tutorial below. If you have any suggestions on how I could debug it further, it would greatly be appreciated.

Thank you for the quick response! I can certainly try, but to clarify the problem persists weather I deploy to my custom board or the nrf5340kd_nrf5340. When I compile my project for the nrf5340kd_nrf5340 board files, the Bluetooth works fine. However when I compile it for my custom board files(copied from nrf5340kd_nrf5340) I am seeing the errors.

I will try compiling a ble sample with my custom board files and see if I see any different behavior

Could you try a default sample for BLE as well, just to make sure that there is nothing wrong with the custom board?
