I have tested downloading both SD and application using nRFgo Studio and Keil using an old devkit with a Rev 2 chip, SDK 10 and s110 v8.0.0. I used the examples from the SDK.

It happened once that the chip refused to cooperate, but using nrfjprog to erase it made it work again (nrfjprog --eraseall). Does this work in your case?

Yes its a custom board and it works well with SD7 + SDK 6.1.0. Programming through JLink in nrfStudio. Or Program only SD from nrfStudio and application from Keil. With SDK10 and SD8 it starts hanging both Keil and nrfStudio.

SoftDevice 8 is compatible with Rev 2, but SDKs newer than 6.1.0 are not. However, this should not result in an error when programming the nRF. What kind of device is this, a custom board? How is your setup for programming it?

I loaded SD8 with no problem, then I try to program application from nrfStudio.After a while it just says it cant find Cortex Device. I just looked and I see im using Rev 2 device, but in Compatibility Matrix its a bit confusing. It says it does support SD8, but there is nothing about SDK version. Does Rev 2 devices support SDK 8,9 or 10?

Can you tell us a little more about what you are doing, how it fails, what error messages you get, &c.? Using s110 v8.0.0 with SDK 10 and the above memory settings should be ok.
