Dear Nordic support team,

We are experiencing a similar issue, some custom boards running on nRF52840 (NCS v2.3.0) appear to stop advertising after days / weeks. The number of possible connections is high enough (CONFIG_BT_MAX_CONN) and we are sure nobody is connected, the device should advertise.

Is there any flag that could be monitored to ensure the Radio peripheral is working fine, and that the BLE stack is not stuck anywhere ? Or that there is no power or clock issue that may lead to such bug ? I've looked at the known issues raised by Nordic and Zephyr, no one seems related.

It's very hard to catch when the bug occurs, and trigger a reset is not an option yet since we don't know when the bug is present, the device stays stuck.

Please note that UART works and the main loop is still running when the bug occurs.

Hi Donald,

It's a bit hard to say without any logging or debugging. It would be helpful if you could maybe attach a debugger to the device (without resetting) when the problem occurs and see where it is "stuck"?
